Quick review of Raw files

What was just suggested is ranking or rating the images. I do that in Lightroom, but it isn't as fast, or as free as Irfanview. Besides, you didn't ask about rating them

But Irfanview will OPEN a lot faster the DPP, and it will open each image faster too. You wanted fast...

Well, I have known that, but you wanted to delete images, not rank them. Remember that I actually read the manual/help files .

Personally, I think the five level binomial ranking system in Photoshop better. You can have 1-5 stars and five different color codes. Way better than 1-3 checks.

Yes, I haven't posted any pictures of fish lately, but I have caught many dinks. Two today, in fact. Its been more productive to fish for them than look for them on the banks.

Yes. I've fished there, but not for game fish. I went on a collecting expedition in the Pine Barrens for pygmy sunfish.

Apple's iPhoto actually does a reasonable job of going through RAW files as a quick viewer, but the way the program's set up, as well as the inability to view directories without duplicating the files into the iPhoto library has basically turned me into an iPhoto hater. I haven't used the newest version of iPhoto though...

I'm a Photo Mechanic fan too. As well as an iPhoto hater . . .

However, for previewing in Leopard you only need to select the (image) file(s) (RAW, or whatever) and hit the space bar, and BINGO! they all pop up on screen without opening an application!

That works with ALL kinds of files (not just image files)!
