I supposed you think it Adobe's fault?

If so, try blaming Apple for not letting them know soon enough that they were dropping some key 64-bit code stuff called HIToolbox...dropping API stuff can pretty much trash any software these days. And announcing it at a big event with no notice to anyone is kind of a nut-"Job" itself...no offensive the the guy running the place (Jobs)

Apple shot itself and their users in the foot on this one. Yes, Adobe could rewrite for the totally different 64-bit world of Apple (unless they change again), but that takes time. They'll get it eventually, but...

So when PS CS4 comes out, and you get the 64-bit version for your Windows PC, know that you are running faster than a native Mac user.....

You are the MAC head around here. So I was asking your opinion, thinking that since you are a MAC head, that you would be siding with them and since you didn't state your reason for a link only post. I would assume that others have the same 64-bit issues that Adobe has now too....

But I really don't care now.

Does it matter? Just use CS3 so you can buy more Chai Latte and wine.

Who CARES? 'cause I'm not a Mac user.

Besides, the advantages aren't really that big. Maybe a 10-12% performance increase on really big files. If you never start hitting the memory limits on 32-bit systems, though, you're not going to see much of a change.

And the 64-bit version will be out late this year or early next. Mac-addicts are used to waiting for the versions that PC-users are already using.

Really folks. What happened to the friendly community

Mac's, winboxes, linux... its all tools in the end innit?

For me, im lookingforward to CS4 on any platform. And maybe CS5 64bit on the OSX aswell.

Regardless of what OS i will be using at the time, i look forward to have it help me create lovely images.

4 out of 5 Mac users don't have a sense of humor. 4 out of 5 dentists concur.

80%? I'd have pegged it closer to 90+%.

While 99% of the sample either wore blouses or walked a poodle, only 80% did both, so the results may be skewed.
