bridge doesn't allow changes to files on external hard drive - PhotoCamel

I can not label or delete a lot of the pictures that are on my external hard drive. I think that it is the pictures put there from another computer. It is a huge headache since I am between two computers a lot, and for huge projects there is a lot of organiztional moves that have to be made.

any ideas?

I think to remove them, Bridge or Lightroom needs to actually "grab" them. Same goes for applying changes to RAW files. It won't let you if it can't "get" them. In Lightroom, you can do Library Module functions when a drive is not connected, but you can't delete or switch to the Develop Module on images that are not connected.

At least, that is what I know....

i wonder if the second machine sees those files' properties as Read Only permission.
