I was wondering if there was a free software that allows you to create a watermarks. Also, I have noticed that many photo's that are posted appear to be framed...I like that look and was wondering what software allows you to do that.
Thank you, Z __________________

I am new to PSE and have sort of figured out the framing but not how to watermark my images. I would like to apply it in a batch if possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. : )

The best watermarking action is the one you make yourself, with your own watermark. There is support, and here is an excellent video from Dr. Brown detailing the how to part: http://av.adobe.com/russellbrown/BrandingSM.mov.

Thank you for the tips. I really like PSE so far. I just do not have a lot of time to search through all the help files etc. On top of which I am not all that fond of having to do a bunch of PP. Again due to time constraints.
One other question. I have a fast machine running a 3 gig processor and 2 gigs of ram. Compared to any other program I run, PSE seems slow. Is it that much of a memory hog? Thanks again for your help. Brian |

As long as it isn't "unresponsive" rather than slow. Unresponsive would be those annoying pauses when clicking tools and accessing menus. If that's happening, you might want to investigate the inefficiency.

Upon a deaper look around, I found where you can increase the amount of RAM that PSE uses under prefs. Also I noticed that untill I let all the "thumbnails" be created was where it was slow. After all 12,737 files loaded all the way, speed is normal now. Still looking at how to have only a certain item in a photo have color and the rest be B&W. Always loved that effect. Thanks again for all the help.

Fastone Photo Resizer has a batch watermarking utility, as does a program called Photo-Shark. I haven't tried them yet, but both seem fairly easy.
