Ok I now have raw for ps7

don't ask how I don't know. I clicked on a raw file in ps7 today and a box opened with my pic and settings for w/b and exposure and after clicking ok it opens fully in ps7 in raw
I thought there wasn't a plug in anywhere for ps7 and I didn't put one in that I know of.
Any ideas is it part of capture nx maybe ?

Should be Adobe Camera Raw (ACR). Is that what it says at the top?

Its a pop up window thats small and I cant resize it.
at the top its says
Raw adjustment PP dcs-385 nef (dcs being my file)

Its never worked in the past in fact I searched for months for a plugin for ps7 and was told there is none.
I recently added raw viewer for windows could that be it?

Might have been put there by Capture NX then. Did you just install that?

Did you install any other Nikon software (View, PictureProject....)? It sounds like the RAW conversion tool in one of those packages.

i just installed an update for picture project..

Yeah, I think that's picture project. If you have Capture NX I'd use that instead, as it's a much more powerful RAW conversion tool, not to mention a fully-fledged image editor (though I prefer Photoshop for my edits).

I agree I love nx don't use ps just was shocked to see a raw converter pop up.

I even used cs3 for 2 months and found nx was better at handling the raw data

Yep, NX is better for RAW conversion, as it should be, considering it is the camera manufacturer's RAW processing application. It really should come with the cameras though.
