Can't assign lable in Photoshop

I've got a RAW image that I've made some edits to and now I can't assign a lable. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I sure can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit - now I've just done a 2nd one and got the same thing. In Bridge, they have an icon below the thumbnail that looks like a sheet of paper with the corner turned down.

I'm not sure what you mean by label -- by chance, do you mean you can't rename the file?

I ask because the icon below the thumbnail might mean the file is open and you can't rename while a file is open.

By "label," I'm sure the OP is referring to the color labels for sorting. You cannot change metadata while the file is open. Click Done in ACR, and return to Bridge to change IPTC, label, or rating values. The sheet of paper indicates that a document is open and locked for editing. If there are no open documents, then one of two things are happening: you are in the process of converting that raw to another format, or there is a file hung in ACR. For the latter, open another raw file, and click Done, and that should release it.

That's strange. I HAD opened another file. I even shut down bridge and re-opened it Now that I've loged back in today, though, it's working. Thanks for the tip.

It could also have been the OS had the file locked. Glad it works now.
