...it could be, that you need a newer AdobeCameraRAW version, this software does not install automatically when you upgrade PhotoShop, you have to download and install it manually.
The latest version for CS2 is ACR3.6, when you use CS2 you can download a trial version of CS3, that has ACR4.0 on board ![]() ...hope this helps, *my* €0.02 worth... Kindest regards! Max@Home |

If using a version of Photoshop earlier than CS2, you'll need to upgrade Photoshop to open the D200 NEF files native in Photoshop. Those of us running CS1 or earlier can open them using the DNG converter and converting them before opening them in Photoshop.
If running CS2, make sure you have ACR 3.5 (could be 3.4) or later. Just install 3.6 if you have CS2. |

Jose, I am HOPELESS. Do NOT get OLD. I have downloaded Raw Version 3.6 and all I get is a ZIP to purchase. I have even forgotten how to copy pictures from e-mail.
I have given up tennis. Now it looks I cannot even improve or remember what you taught me. Thanks anyway. Edward |

Well, it seems like you are using PC and probably you have winzip or any other shareware unzip software. If it is winzip, then you should have the option to continue without purchasing the software to open the file. If you are running windows XP, then you should be able to right click the file and choose some Extract command in the right-click-menu.
Either way, when the file is unzipped you will have to copy the raw plugin into the same place where the old raw plugin is stored, probably in the import/export folder (plugins folder in photoshop). That should do it. To copy images from an email, you should be able to right click the image and choose "save as" or similar. Or you should have the chance to save the attachments of the email as well. Sorry, don´t know what e-mail client you are using, so no more specific info can be handed over until i know. |

The Camera Raw.8bi should be installed to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats directory, once downloaded from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...jsp?ftpID=3554.
Mac instructions can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...jsp?ftpID=3553. |

Camera Raw was added to the Adobe updater in Photoshop about 2 months ago.

The updater works, but doesn't change ACR - at least I don't think it does. I'll have to slap an old version in there, and run the updater when I get home. But I'd swear that I'm still using v.3.4, despite getting some other updates. Good info.
