I'm not sure this is the right forum for this, but I didn't see one for "dumb questions" so I took a shot.
Is there a way in Bridge to set the default destination for the batch rename function? I keep all of my photos under the "my pictures" folder, so would like the batch rename to open there when I click on the "Browse" button, and allow me to select my destination folder from there. __________________

Girevik,
I do not understand your question at full lenght, but if you want to start bridge displaying the directory d:\something, make a shortcut passing as commandline parameter d:\something. if you want to set the directory bridge renames to, specify the directory once in the batch rename dialog and it remembers this directory. As an alternative: put this information in the registry under HCU\Software\Adobe\bridge\preferences\ and then the key BatchRenameDestination. Does this help? |

thats strange.
In the same key, there is also "BatchRenameDialog", it has the value: "BatchRenameDialog"=hex:ec,00,00,00,d2,00,00,00,15 ,04,00,00,6d,02,00,00 on my pc. Maybe you could copy this in (be carefull, always make a backup before). |

Yeah, I was that value in there but wasn't sure what the hex value was. I'm on a different PC now, but when I get my laptop booted up again I'll see what my value for that is.
