I've learned more from RetouchPro - http://www.retouchpro.com/ - than any other site. Well, with the possible exception of Kai Krause's Power Tips back in the early nineties, but those are pretty dated these days.
There are several tricks I've seen on RetouchPro (bandpass filtering, editing in FFT mode) that I've never seen anywhere else. It's pretty heavy stuff, though, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're not already very confident in PS. Cheers, Tim. |

For a very nice portrait retouching technique, there's Monte Zucker's Soft Focus Filter (created in Photoshop by Eddie Tapp). Here's Tapp's step-by-step tutorial:
http://www.eddietapp.com/PDFs/SoftFocus.pdf Tutorial on creating Orton Imagery in Photoshop. Orton images have soft glowing colors (scroll down for the Photoshop technique: the article first explains creating it with slide film): http://www.naturephotographers.net/a.../dw0106-1.html |
