I've been working on a photo with PSP X for several days, and admittedly am far from being adept at any of the photo-editiing programs.* I'm trying to remove some boats from a sunset scene and am having pitiful luck doing so.* This program has the clone tool as well as as "object remover".* You would think those would be more than sufficient, wouldn't you?* :-\
With the clone tool, I select the source image to cover the boats with; however, when I begin to use it the tool seems to select the color of whatever image the "stamp" happens to be over at the time. Using the "Object Remover" has also been frustrating.* The directions are to begin by dragging a lasso around the object to be removed.* However, after connecting the ends of the lasso you expect to see the object closely outlined, right?* Everytime I do this, the result is a large circle!* There are directions to make the circle smaller which I cannot get to work.* I've tried to use this tool regardless of the above, hoping to be able to correct the area removed afterwards.* But, I've only been able to achieve a slight fading effect. Any and all suggestions will be most appreciated. Warm Regards, Surfinwahine __________________

surfinwahine,
I'm using paintshop X a lot. I would like to help you, but I need more info. Could you pleasecreport back the settings of the object tool?. For instance the large circle you mentioned is influenced by the value of the feather parameter. For the clone tool: first right click on a part that has the color you want to blend in, the left click to remove the object. __________________
