Default Photoshop's Save for Web... How?

I looked around the preferences of Photoshop's "Save for Web..." but couldn't find a way to prevent the stripping of EXIF and IPTC data..

Is there a way to keep them? Especially the copyright (even though I have it selected)

Thanks,
Waleed

Save for Web is awful. Don't touch it.

I use "5" as my quality setting when saving JPEGs. Retains EXIF, and looks great on the screen. The files aren't too big either. I'd show you a sample but you can't see Photobucket...

Thanks Michael..
I'm familiar with the other method of saving jpeg, but I like to use the Save for Web method for GIF instead of changing the color mode or launching ImageReady.. Save for Web shaves off lots of data to reduce size, but I just wanted to learn of a way to keep the EXIF & IPTC.. I guess the option does not exist..

From what I have found save for web will always strip out the EXIF data no way round it as I know of

Best go with the other method

Simply make an action that does what you want done, then use that action instead of "save for web" for a one step tool. You could even assign it to an F-key.

I was able to find the script. Anyone can send a PM, and I'll send it to you.
