Default Batch sharpening / USM

Hi, I hijacked a thread and asked this question but nobody replied yet, so though I'd ask in a separate one.

Was wondering if anybody know whether we can batch USM in either PSE 4.0 or Acdsee 7.0. It's a pain to sharpen 100+ images individually (to be emailed or posted in the net).

Thanks

The only problem with "batch" sharpening is that some images can take more sharpening than others. With a batch routine, you could have images with too much, or some with too little.

I don't remember if PSE does actions straight out of the box, or you need to buy a "tweak" to make it do it. If you can get it to do actions, actions are easy. Just creat one that does a USM to the right numbers and go.

Otherwise, I know that for a big group, I (and a lot of others) use Irfanview ( http://www.irfanview.com ), whcih is free. It does batch renaming and sizing, and will add some sharpening while it does it if you want. Will also tweak colors and stuff too if you want. Does a bunch of oter stuff too. A fine utility. Of course, their are others that will do it too.

Update. Just found out that one can batch sharpen (and many other batch processes) in PSE 4.0. Under file, choose "process multiple files" or something to that effect. Will give it a go soon.
