Default Raw to JPEG

I am processing Raw pics with CS2 Bridge. After opening it doesn't give me the option of saving in .jpg, only tiff nad several photoshop formats. How can I go from raw and save in .jog.

If you convert from 16-bit to 8-bit mode, the option will appear.

When you click save, you're given an option box to rename the file, including the extension. Below that is a menu item for format that will give several different options. If you don't see the jpg option, make sure that you're saving an 8 bit file (although I see jpg even with a 16 bit file). On my screen I see DNG, PSD, JPG, and TIFF formats available.

In Bridge go to Tools > image processor.
This allows you to convert to tiff/ jpegs / psd and resize and include actions ie sharpen all at thet same time

This is a good method for batch processing images that can all use similar adjustments.

Carl that is how it was explained to me
And how I thought it worked but you can really play with different un similar pics with this
It just needs a little practice to get used to it.
Its saved me so much time with multiple pics
