Default Re: Does the Spyder 3 Pro work with an LED monitor?

I used a Spyder3 Pro on LCD without issue. Snagged a free upgrade to the Elite4 software. The calibration will warm up the image a bit. Maybe it has more to do with your expectations and being used to the typical cool LCD color bias.

Hello,

I have a Spyder3 which I use to calibrate my old Hp w2207h and it seems to do a great job, as another user mentioned I get the RGB balanced manualy with the calibrator first.

Recently a friend asked me if I could calibrate his two monitor setup one LG 24" LCD and another new cheaper 22" Samsung LED.I used the Studio match and the LG calibrated beutifully but the samsung was way off.

Eventualy I lowered the white point a bit on the Samsung and I changed the calibration point from 2.2 to "Native" and it did a much better job.

I hope that might help some of you with the same problem. Eventhough the Lg was Lcd it seemed to have a MUCH higher quality screen than the Samsung LED.
Zemlin, if you can let us know where you "snagged" that free upgrade from it would be much apreciated
