Default Lightroom Library to Loupe problem

I have been using Lightroom 3. Normally when I double-click on a thumbnail it will zoom to that image and make it full screen. Now it doesn't. Can someone help me figure out why? What settings do I need to change? This is driving me crazy!

I am not on a computer with LR right now so I can't test this, but in the top menu bar, under the "view" tab there is a drop down menu. Make sure "loupe view" is checked.

If it is not there, then at the bottom, above the thumbnails, there are several icons controlling what is displayed. In fact it shows diagrams of side/side, over/under, Loupe view may be the 1st box on the left which is a single box.

Hope one of these work for you.

You can also toggle back and forth between the Loupe view and the Thumbnail view in the Library module by pressing the E and G keys respectively.
