Default B&O Train Museum - Part 2

Here is a bunch more of the inside shots including the second garage they had

1.

2.

3. I really like this guy

4.

5. The guy there called this the Streamline. It came out when the Diesel's were first introduced, but it never took off as the diesel was obviously way better

6. The wheels on this beast were 6 feet tall!!! It allowed the train to do up to 80mph supposedly.

7.

8.

Best,
Jay

Jay your work always inspires me and shows me what is possible. This series is just awe inspiring. I love your processing. It really fits this subject. The first one is a compositional masterpiece with all the lines converging like they do.

Fantastic series, my favorite is the yellow streamliner. You really made the most out of this trip Jay, did they give you any static about your tripod?

That was really, really neat to see, and a bit surreal.

A friend and I visited that museum in January 2006 while he escorted my girlfriend, who chose to move up from Florida to live with me in New Jersey. I met them in Baltimore.

One interesting tidbit: because I was a CSX Transportation conductor at the time, showing my ID gave me free admission...when I expected a modest discount. (CSX is the corporate successor to the B&O.)

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Thanks Bud, and Yeah, there was a mean old lady there that said something to Michele. Something like, your not going to sell these are you (insert really nasty shrill voice here). Know body said anything to me though or to not use a tripod. And your I really did try and make the most of the trip! I still have part 3 to come of all the outside shots

Your very welcome and thanks for your comments It's always nice to get in free places!! You earned it being a conductor for the company though. I can't image them charging you to look at trains

Best,
Jay
