It is about that time here. Maybe a day or two longer. I was going to stop a couple of times today but it is not quite there yet. Also very windy so hopefully we don't loose all the leaves prior to the peak turn.

Show us some of yours. I think you are ahead of us this year.

Things started turning last week here but it's been so windy there won't be anything left on the trees.. Today it's cloudy , windy and cold with a bit of drizzle which makes crappy photo weather..aarrgg..

Here is one from last year--single exposure raw made into three tiffs and then into Photomatix and CS4. I didn't know about HDR last year, and I live in Louisiana, so this is the best I can do for now.

This fall has been the real pits and I'm pretty sure we got jipped of our fall colors

Oct. 12th 2009 - getting better - can't wait to see next weekend


Oct. 16, 2009 - 4 days later and ack!


as a results, everything that was turning went to a dead brown so basically we got dead brown and green now. I feel so cheated out of beautiful colors

Japanese Garden here in Seattle. Handheld 3 exposure merged to HDR with Photoshop, tone mapped with Lucidity (my own tonemapper). This is actually from a couple weeks ago, colors are a little better now...heading back out this weekend if it stops raining! Oh, also, first post!
