Its an outstanding image. Now, why can't I make my eyes focus on it and see it clearly?

Your eyes aren't deceiving you. It's caused by the Orton technique of having one image overexposed and blurred (out of focus) combined with another identical image overexposed and sharp (in focus).

Thanks for clearing that up (pun fully intended). Honestly I loved the image. I'm at an age now where corrective lenses are a huge concern. I could not figure out what was going on.

lol. To each their own I guess.. some like the original, some like this one I still need to get my printer sorted out. All of the colour spaces have got me confused.

I appreciate all of the comments.

This is an absolutely gorgeous photo of the old Catholic Church in Dorothy. They are in the process of stablizing the inside now, and doing a bit of renovating. I live just a few miles away.....do you have pictures of the other church in Dorothy, too? Great job on this!

Hi CarrieLayne, thanks for the comments. I'll have to look through my photos to see if I took one of the other church. Is it just across from this one or was that an old school house? I also took photos of the grain elevator (also an HDR):

Drumheller & area is one of my favourite places to visit every summer, I just love the "badlands"!
