The profile I created and all it did was put the sliders close to where they needed to be for that image. All you have to do is put the sliders in the same spot to simulate the profile. The trouble is every image is different, so profiles don't work to well from image to image in my experience.

I hope that helps,

Best,
Jay

Thanks Jay....although our PS flows are a bit different, your tutorial gave me a better understanding of how and what to do with HDR files. I was trying to get them done completely in Photomatix rather than getting the fine adjustments in PS. Now I have a much better idea on how to maximize potential. Great information (and I even picked up a few PS tips on the way!)

Thanks again for your time and efforts

Sorry for the really delayed replies!! I forget to check thee threads from time to time

CW, The white noise happens on some Mac's and we have not found a solution for the issue unfortunately. Perhaps you can watch them on another PC? Photomati is IMO the best software out there. There are many others such as fdrtools, Dynamic photo and they have different approaches to the tone mapping. Some work better for certain photos, but not others. Photomatix however seems to have enough tools to do the job all the time.

Ohenry, Glad the videos where helpful! It's really cool how the work flows can be so different, yet yield the same result in the end

Best,
Jay
