Default Printing HDR?

I have a question about printing images that have been edited useing HDR, because i've read in a recent magazine that HDR is more a fun thing and printers can't read the tonal range of colours from HDR.

I hope this reads OK, i'm still very new to HDR and would hope that it's just our home printers that struggle, i would like to one printed from Photo Box to see what they look like...??

it true karl, nor could your monitor properly display a hdr images (unless its a special hdr monitor). but most printers will rpint 8 and 16 bit images and they look just fine. check in your printers manuel or with your print shop and they will probally have all the details there. ive printed 16 bit images on an epson 1800 and they look great!

I've printed a few and they look awesome. Pretty much what they look like on the screen IMO. I converted it to an 8-bit jpeg and then sent it off to the lab like any other print.

Best,
Jay
