Taken on Monday this week. This one was good fun. It was incredibly dark in this building. The image is made up of 9 exposures starting at 2 seconds all the way through to 7 minutes and 23 seconds.
I had to be a little bit patient as the combined shutter open time for the 9 exposures was 15 minutes and 25 seconds. The noise is not too bad considering the exposure time. b __________________

So, that's what a 10mm lens does! I see you used ISO100; I would have thought you
could of upped that a bit for the lighting you had to contend with. Great subject matter and processing; how do you find places like this? Martin |

Cheers Martin. Yep 10mm all the way. I had the tripod so the camera was not going to move. I wanted to control the noise as best I could hence iso 100.
This spot was easy to find. It is called Magna. The place is a great day out for a family and a big tourist attraction. Its plays on the history of steel works in Sheffield. It is just a couple of minutes drive off the M1 motorway. Good spot for a camera. Lots of people about but long exposures take care of them as its quite dark inside. Magna. It does not look like a tourist attraction does it? ![]() Magna by 2010kev, on Flickr |

Thanks Randy.
To be honest I don't really know where the time went when doing this. I was so tuned in to what I was doing I did not realise that it had taken so long. I enjoy doing this stuff. I find it quite exciting waiting to see the results. ![]() |
