I leave the house thismorning and the sun is shining. I get to the Dales and its raining and miserable. I get home half an hour ago and the sun is shining. Never mind.
Anyway, a shot of the Ribblehead Viaduct. Despite the dark sky there was still a dynamic range larger than my 40d could handle. This was taken handheld and the 3 bracketed shots tone mapped have really helped lift the detail in the viaduct in my opinion. Feedback welcomed as always. ![]() Ribblehead Viaduct by 2010kev, on Flickr __________________

Bad luck, Kevin
![]() But you got a picture with bags of impact ![]() Pity the cloud was not a bit more structured. I had a try but made a pig's ear of it ![]() Martin |

Cheers Martin. There was little structure to be observed in the cloud. This shot is pretty close to what I witnessed, so in that respect it worked. Tried pulling a bit more out of the cloud myself but thats the limit. When I set off thismorning with the viaduct in mind I was hoping for those full on balls of 3d cotton wool. It was not to be so I intend to go back soon.

OK Kevin, you know you have to come to France if you want cotton wool balls for clouds...just kidding of course!I love this picture with 2 lines crossing each other:the rocks on one side and the bridge on the other. What is constantly present from your posts and comments is the storm in your brain for photography:it's eating you alive and I think it's good!
