We have two parallel challenges this week with images donated by jessea. Both
sets present you with possible ghosting problems and it will be interesting to see which software deals well with ghosting. Consequently, please tell us which HDR processor you have used and whether you had to post process your results to remove ghosts. Both image sets were taken near Leucate in south eastern France. Here are the download links and -0.5EV images. [NOTE: Some have reported problems downloading from Hotfile. Duplicate Mediafire links, #58b & #58c, have been added (18th May)] #1 https://hotfile.com/dl/155881724/c31...C6779.zip.html or #58b.zip ![]() #2 https://hotfile.com/dl/155885300/3a3...C9760.zip.html or #58c.zip ![]() Please ensure that you keep the seagull in your final photo. The mountain in the background is called Canigou. Many thanks for the images Jean-Claude. __________________

Here is my go with PHOTOMATIX(3 raws through DXO first). There are ghosts but are not really visible at the forum size.I think we should add a crop at 100% of a delicate area to show how it is good or not:
![]() ![]() Last one with SNS:no ghost with the seagull. |

Jean-claude, the 2nd shot looks perfect. The sky in the 1st shot seems a bit dark but the rest is well toned and detailed. You are right about the ghosts. Difficult to tell unless there is a magnified section available of a delicate area.

![]() #1 shows the twigs and small branches as grey "mush" and the sand does not look like sand ![]() #2 is much better but I think the definition could be better ![]() Martin |

![]() SNS-Home using 2 images. Contrast and saturation PP on the foreground sand and vegetation using CS5 ![]() SNS-Home using all images. PP with Levels, Brightness and nik Tonal Contrast filter on selected areas of the image. The seagull did not require PP or ghost removal. Martin __________________
