Default Close-up #32

Here is Close-up #32. I know this looks like a dog's breakfast from up close, but it should be more easily identifiable from a greater distance.

I assume that is deg C rather than deg F.

As far as I know, this stuff has none of those ingredients. It might have potatoes in it, but I doubt that it has any mint. Try again.

I don't think this has any rice in it. Definitely has no pasta.

Yes, it has onion in it. I think there may even be a piece or two in the frame. Keep going.

When my mother made this stuff, she didn't put potatoes in it; they are strictly optional and aren't a main ingredient. Some versions of this may have some cheese as well, but my mother didn't put any cheese in hers either. This would be a less likely ingredient than the potatoes or milk. Potatoes and cheese are the defining ingredients for potatoes au graten, which this isn't.

And if it does have milk in it, it would be only a relatively small amount.

It probably has some egg in it - I don't know the exact ingredients list since this particular one/batch was made commercially - but hardly enough to call it an omelet. My mother put eggs in hers.

Hint: although the shot looks underexposed, it in fact isn't. This stuff really is that dark.

Would it help to tell you that most dogs would quite willingly have this for breakfast? And, depending on the ingredients list, it might actually be considered good for them? So far, the guesses are missing a key ingredient that gives this dish its dark color.

Protein, yes, and it may have small amounts of bone marrow introduced by accident but not nearly enough to darken the dish this much. You are still missing a main ingredient.
