It's a tool... a very simple and very common tool, albeit a slightly specialized version of it. The first picture shows the 'business end' of the tool, and there are significant details near the edge of the frame that may help. The second picture shows some markings on the handle - there is significance to the symbol that is shown there, as it helps to distinguish the tool from other similar ones. The red color is also very characteristic of this particular variety of this tool...
