A lot of the dock icons are third party ones, and five of those are for Canon camera. You are still right though a lot of icons in the dock.

Here's mine:

The taskbar is normally hidden (on autohide) but I brought it out for the screenshot so you can tell it is actually my desktop and not just a photo. As you can see I prefer a minimalist desktop. The pic is a crop of one of mine, don't think I've posted the original here yet, I'll correct that just now.

I have all my icons underneath the task bar, I hate a messy desktop. I like it CLEAN.

When I bring the mouse down to the taskbar, the taskbar drops revealing all of the nifty icons I use .

I do not like a mess on my desktop with icons all over the place.
