You know how a car can affect the way you drive. If you drive a Camaro, you drive aggressively, if you drive a minivan, you drive carefully and constructively and so on.

The same is true with type of camera. If you have cheap camera, you take a picture in limited way at the same time trying to retain quality. If you have Canon 1DX, you're as free as an Eagle, no matter where you go, or how poor you took, they came out GREAT!

And our attitude changes too -- "Big gun"...

I am going to disagree with this, to an extent. I feel comfortable enough with my P&S to use it as a primary camera when I cant use my SLR. It shoots in raw and has a 1.8-2.5 F stop. Though photoshop doesnt carry over some of the settings, like WB or vivid/standard/etc.
