This embarrassed me because when I first posted it somewhere else, it showed up my lack of knowledge and skills in sharpening. This was when I was just starting on the pp learning curve. (Film was easier - get it sharp in camera, the lab did the rest for me )

TIBM shows much better pp skills

This picture is an example of ""FCB photography. A dark foam core board is placed behind the subject, to facilitate selection of the background in post processing. This allows it to be easily replaced with a more complementary background... solid color, gradient, or a background from another picture.

The image below is is vintage.

That's my favorite color of my favorite flower, and a glorious portrait of it. Really stunning image--and it's also great that you spelled it correctly!

I try to steer away from sad, but I'll offer one (to get the thread going again.

It's bitter sweet to come to the end of the line after a grand ride. Eddie was my grandfather's brother's son, . I met him and his wife for the first time last September. He was a successful businessman, lived well, raised a fine family, and retired comfortably. At 93, he was sharp of mind, but his body was worn, and Eddie passed in December. God bless, he lived a long and happy life. The sad part is his wife is lost after losing her loving partner of 65 years.

The image below is of a raging party!

Good save Frank. A life well lived but as you say, sad for his wife.

A raging party and a happier note. Newquay on New Years eve is one whole party right through the centre of town. A great and very friendly atmosphere!

TIBM is more dressing up fun

According to my dictionary, celestial body is a synonym for heavenly body. Here's a couple that should qualify.

The image below is a cityscape taken at night.
