Well I love my S2's (both of them), but I'll never buy another Fuji SLR again after the way they well and truly screwed me over on the warranty on the first one (it's long since gone in the garbage can as a totally useless assembly of plastic and metal fresh from factory service). The second one I had to buy from my partner (it was his backup body) because I was borrowing it so much that I was going to wear it out before long, too.

The aperture actuating group was the first to begin failing, very shortly (like the next day) the shutter began acting up. This was at around 400,000 actuations, but only nine months old. Fuji made me pay for the repairs, and they additionally performed several other upgrades and whatnot that I didn't ask for them to do (or authorize), and made me pay for those as well. Which would have been one to chalk up for experience and write off as being spineless, except that when they sent it back to me the camera was totally non-functioning. When I called them on it, they took the position that it was clearly my fault, and I'd have to pay them (again) for them to fix their own fouled up repairs. Let's also keep in mind that they took over six months to do all of this.

Like I said - I love the S2, it's a fine (if slow) camera, and I'm sure the S3 is equally wonderfull, but I'll never buy another Fuji no matter how wonderful it is.

Oh no, I didn't take it as a challenge at all, sorry for ranting. That whole experience gets me vibrating out of my chair thinking about it even now.

Wow that's a really nice price. If that was the price back then I would probably have gone for the S3 and not the evolt e-300. Though I would admit this price would have made me hesitate considering how recently I bought my e-330, it would be hard to jump because of all the good Zuiko's I already have. Also the e-330 closes the DR gap a bit more and I love the fact that it's small.

But I have to say that's a nice price. I only wish it was priced like that back then. Probably not selling.
