Fuji S3 and Nikon 18-200 VR lens combo?
Hello:
Does anyone here, own and use theNikon 18-200mm VR lens, on their S3? Would you please be able to provide me with tips,advice, pros and cons, sample pictures using this lens on the S3? Thanks for your time- God Bless, Ed __________________

I guess this thread is somewhat dead, so I can share what I know.
The 18-200mm VR was introduced after the S3 was released. So the S3 is not perfectly compatible. It needs a chip to help with auto focus. If you had a new S3, when the 18-200mm VR was released, Fuji would chip your camera free of charge. I doubt they still offer that service. If you notice no auto focus issues, maybe your camera is allready chipped for this lens. |

actually the issue was more of an S2 issue than an S3 issue. some S3's were affected but not all. here is a link with all the serial numbers
