Samy's Camera not stocking S5 anymore...

At least online... I wonder if "this is it" for Fuji or Fuji is coming with something new. I read that Thom Hogan believes that if Fuji doesn't announce something new by the next big photo show this year (not PMA.. for got which one it is, Photo kina?), it's over (or most likely over).

I am watching with interest the prices here in the USA but they are still high.

I don't know if you are trying to be sarcastic or not, but I think you are missing the point. The point is- is this happening and this means the S5 is on its way out of the channel?

Anything new about anything new from Fuji?

yes the s5 is selling out. so far fuji is being very quiet. check out the wording from fuji for photokina. other digital cameras?

i am guessing that either samy's sold all they had, or sent them back for a credit. the S5 used the d200 body and nikon stopped making d200 bodies a little bit ago.

This is what I keep hearing too, so I wonder. If I could get a closeout cheap S5 I might go for it.

I see several advertised by Canadian Camera dealers for $999. Cnd, what I don't know about is importing them from Canada if there are taxes and what the warranty is.

the repair has to go back to fuji canada. we have a few us shooters using canadian fuji cameras.

rumors i have heard are:
fuji is selling off the digital photography unit
fuji is selling off the imaging unit, that is digital and film
fuji is going to stop making dslrs
fuji is going to a non nikon body, but keeps f mount
fuji is going to a non nikon body, pick any mount, heard them all

good rumors
fuji is going to announce a new dslr camera
fuji is going to announce 2 new dslr cameras
fuji is going to announce up to 5 dslr cameras

camera rumors are
a dx format HR sensor in a d200 or 300 body with 10-14mp
a dx SR sensor in a d200/300 body with 8/8-12/12mp
a fx SR sensor in a D3 body with 10/10-18/18mp
a dx HR sensor in a d200/300 and a fx SR sensor in a d3 body, same mp's as above
a dx and FX HR sensor in same bodies, the HR FX sensor as high as 24mp's
a DX and FX SR sensor in same bodies....
2 Dx and FX HR and SR sensors...

there is so much out there and its all gone quiet. oh yea forgot one
the S100FS is going to i-ttl, improved lens, and the nikon cam 1000 system, now who would not want one.
