Default Can non-AI lenses be modified to fit the S1 ?

Hello from Maine,

I see that "non AI" lenses, the old lenses, can not be mounted to the S1 as it would break something. I wonder if a person could modify a non-AI lens, perhaps removing some material with a dremel, so it can fit on an S1.

Thanks,
Craig

Yes modifications are possible! I use a Nikon D200 with an Ai'd Nikkor S 1,2 55 and Nikkor Q 2,8 135 lens, which are very(!) solid performers.

Mr John White can help you at : AI Conversions for Nikon Lenses: Effective, Fast and Affordable!

Cheers, Sean.

you will need a light meter, as the S1 will not meter with these lenses.
