Is XD faster than CF on the S3?

I'd really like to shoot RAW even though the files are freaking huge, but the write time to my CF card is really long.

yes it is. you need the type H cards, only at 1 gig for now. but the transfer rate is 3.8+mb/sec for type H xD versus 2.2mb/sec for CF.

But the CF card is bigger, shouldn't automatically hold more and be more efficient.*

Eh Kev, don't forget the shuttle launch tomorrow night.

not for fuji. the transfer speed on a fuji S3 is 1.8 mb/sec for a microdrive to 2.2/2.3 for Cf at 40X and above.

cant make the launch

I was just messin'

I would like to get over there for the launch just to play with a little night shooting. With the distance we have to shoot from it would most likely look like a bright streak though.
