Default Some shots with the Fuji HS10

I think I've cracked it with OH's HS10 (OK, with wildlife, anyway!) - I just love to keep hammering away with any bit of kit until I have something vaguely resembling an understanding!
And the quality's great, even at ISO400 (Blue Tit and Hen Pheasant are ISO100). OK, DOF's a little more than desired (all taken with lens as wide as it'll go) but given an OK BG, it's not really a problem

#1 Chaffinch

#2 Squizzer - we seem to have a couple who've taken up residence in the garden

#3 Blue Tit

#4 Squizzer

#5 Hen Pheasant - one of the 2 wives for Mr Pheasant who are all living in the garden

Birds are at max zoom and Squizzer's at midpoint zoom

Great shots! Wish I had enough time to get out my old S7000 and get reaquainted.

Definitely great crisp shots. I also have an HS10 and my passion has been macro photography but do general nature shots as well. You have to be using some manual settings on those as automatic always seems to be dusted with graininess. You doing this "Program" and do you mind sharing your settings?
