the data transfer speed on the S2 is 1.6mb/sec. pretty much you will get max speed with 20X cards. it is faster to get a new card reader and transfer from the CF card to the reader. the usb port is the slowest was to tranfer frm the S2.

In the near future Im considering the Fuji S3...Im never in the fore front of new cameras...I always pick up the one prior of the new one coming out..its a budget thing....your advice. keep the S2 til it dies.....or get the S3 after the S5 rumors are settled your advice is greatly appreciated..Im a tech dummy!

4x cards are real slow. i bought 2 120x cards from newegg.com the were the cheapest 2gig cards they had. they work slow in the camera but really move in my card reader. i get my card readers at the monthly computer show for $10-15.

as you can tell i am cheap.

once the S5 pricing is out and available to buy, it is a way better camera than the S3. that is if you are upgrading from a S2.
