It is very close - a matter of millimeters. Of course, I could focus even closer, and you end up counting the hairs on the stamens

It isn't a weed. I used to eat them when I was in Canada. Lady across the street made Dandelion pancakes. Yummy actually.

Interesting! I've heard of dandelion and burdock drink, but never in pancakes. Feel free to come round and munch on my lawn if you like - I've got hundreds of the damn things and they just don't give in!

Kevin - I'm currently working out a business plan on how I can market these things. If I can learn to love them and not kill them and even make money out of them then whoopydoo!.

Latinbob - you could try to explain the reference, but then I feel I'd have to remove the reference (Scoundrel - try googling '420 weed'). Besides I was a day late for this post to be relevant, though the capture date fits in perfectly
