I now purchased Panasonic FZ28 and I own also Olympus SP570 and i disport by comparing the two cameras.
-Olympus has better quality construction and more professional features (for example: hot shoe for flash, slave flash mode for using another flash with photocell) but suffering by some problems in image quality; in all zoom range there are distorsions and purple fringing and white balance is something unreliable. Also, to use 4 AA cells is anachronistic and make heavy the camera. -Panasonic, except the beautiful front lens, use too much cheap plastic, but overall image quality is very, very good. Again, FZ28 is very speedy and, finally, Panasonic is tackling successfully the atavic problem of the noise that has trubled his cameras (see it at Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 reviews ). At last, FZ28 has a first rate movie mode, without zoom noise; it is much better of TZ5's that I straight compared. __________________
