Why, I bought one of course! There were a few compelling reasons why I was interested in Live View:

1. the perfect body for my manual focus lens collection. A large LCD screen (in B mode) is much easier than a viewfinder for manual focussing.

2. I was interested in the colour rendition of the Panasonic sensor. Quite 'Oly' like, but different and so far, at least at ISO up to 400, I've found it to be very clean and with pleasing tones.

3. Live View LCD is an ideal compliment to my E-1. Perfect for macro shots, and I've found it's even very good for telephoto. I've been taking shots using the 50-200mm + EC-14 teleconverter (equivelent of 560mm lens in 35mm world) simply by resting the lens on my lap and using the LCD to focus. A perfect tripod (or is that monopod?) .

I miss a few features from the E-1 that I think should have been carried over (e.g. no wired cable release, no dedicated wheel for shutter speed), but I guess it is built to a price (though still too expensive for what it is). It's a lot better than some people think though. It opens up a different view on the world for DSLR users, and in this respect deserves to be commended more.

Excellent shots! I really need to get out and shoot soon ... cabin fever. Ok, more like self induced Warcraft Fever, but still.

You are as bad as me I guess BTW, I wonder how the e-500 color rendering compares with the e-500's.

I agree about Live View mode B being usefull for telephoto also, though I use a tripod when doing that.

And I couldn't agree with you more on tha tone. Those who say "but all in one cameras had tilt liveviews before" miss a lot of the point- they didn't have the quality of manual focusing, or the ability to put in different lenses.

Yes, we're allowed to admit that on annonymous message boards. The fact that I play on an RP server (Kirin Tor) also doesn't make it out of the mouth during happy hour.

What characters do you have? My main is a Paladin (covers hismself in divine power to resist the stones he's going to be thrown... hehe) though I haven't played him in a while. Playing more a warlock (gnome), druid (night elf) and priest (horde-troll).

Incidentally, I have a warrior (undead) and I think he's on Kirin Tor
