Nice to see E-400 being more supported, but thanks to Max pointing out CS3 has it built in I'm happy to stay where I am.

Why is that?
At the moment I'm quite involved in testing some plugins made for Bibble and besides that it is one of my favourite converters.

I am using Lightroom now. Did use RSP. A sticky wicket I am in now because supposedly I will get a free version of LR when it is released non-beta for my RSP wasted dough, or I could sink more money into Bibble or Sillypix, or...?

I know Bibble offers a $30 off deal for old RSP users, but it is still another $100. And that goes to a software package that I didn't like as well as RSP when I got RSP. Bibble is probably improved, but you know...

Why? Because I'd have to spend even more money on another converter when I've already purchased one that works with E-400 (CS) and one that sort of works with E-400 (Silkypix).

Paul,

The reason for asking was much more on a functional level, it could well be that there were some shortcomings in the Bibble product, or some strong points in the CS3 product.

Is it Bibble that has the RSP engine? It's cool that they seem to do a Linux version. I'm half-Linux these days (not genetically) and would like to go 100% if only all my favorite apps were there too.

Bibble has NOT the RSP engine, that one belongs to Adobe now in lightroom.
They have indeed a Linux version. I can recommend it to you.

I've been using Bibble a bit more on my mac, and really it is nice. I'm just trying to resist yet another learning curve but they handle E-400 files very well, and my usual staples are currently ignoring them...

I have Bibble installed and so have been tinkering around with my E-300 .orfs. The skin tone correction filter is great, but I find the highlight recovery softens those parts too much, unlike ACR with is fine. It might be just a configuration problem so I'll try again another time. They have a good forum on their site, and do actually listen and participate.
