Yup the 12-50mm, I had a pay with the macro on it and it's fine for flowers and so on but it would be a bit of a bugger for insects I fear.

Have another test shot, this time with the Panasonic 100-300mm, again focusing speed was like lightning.

Just ordered the OM-D (or is it the EM-5??) kit today . Also picked up the 45mm f1.8 lens. Looking forward to receiving it. Had a GH-1 previously, and a bunch of four-thirds bodies/lenses prior to that. I think the mFT format has now come of age. I still believe that small can be beautiful in the DSLR world. Can't wait for the postie to come knocking on my door .

I just got myself a SECOND E-M5, this time the silver one with black 12-60; my other one is a black body only.

Don't know if I'll keep or sell the black one. Might use its battery as a spare until batteries become available.

I am really tempted to indulge myself with purchasing this camera.
In researching it, it all sounds good until you get to the AF tracking.
I do a lot of birding.
Has anyone found the Auto Focus a real problem or just a minor grizzle?

Have been really busy and haven't had a chance to post. I was finally allowed to pick up my E-M5 the 3rd of July, so have had it for a couple weeks now.
I really like the camera. I wish it shot 14 bit raw and I wish it had little more space between some of the controls. Otherwise I love pretty much everything. I own the silver body with just the Panasonic 25mm 1.4
I was able to get the camera in studio as well and it performed well though I had to go in and shut off the exposure preview since the camera was showing very dark not knowing my lights would fire.
Here are a couple examples from mine.

Mine just arrived and I'm in the process of comparing images against my Panny GX1 and Nikon D300. So far, I'm impressed enough by this Oly to be seriously considering selling all of my Nikon DSLR equipment. YIKES, I actually wrote that!

At my age, I value carrying lighter equipment and with the type of shooting I do, I won't really miss the advantages of having a DSLR. I'll post some images soon.

Is it compatible with lenses from the OM of yesteryear?
