Default The dangers of popular music

As part of my recovery program to reduce the trauma of dropping from Savant to Sage due to the recent server issues, I thought I'd post something that made me smile. Last night my 2 year old wanted to hear what I was listening to in my headphones...

First task - work out how to attach 'phones to head...

'Hey Dad - Frank Zappa rocks !'

'Woooah - that 10 minute guitar solo in Sheik Yerbouti has messed my head up'

I'm sure there is a moral here...

Funny pics Specially the last one.

Do you think Zappa is still or ever was "popular music" ?
Or do you just want to educate ?

Good question !

He's popular in this house, along with the Beatles, XTC, Dylan, Radiohead and countless others.... I think 'popular' is relative in this case

LOL. Think you'll ever make it to Savant again?

Maybe there's a lesson about true enlightenment in all of this.

Hmm...interesting college you went to. See, I went to a little quaker university first. No drinking, drugs, sex, smoking, or dancing allowed (except for the school sanctioned square dances that I never went to). Then, I went to a state university. Most people I knew didn't live on campus (I didn't) and if they did they were more worried about smoking out the cockroaches than smoking anything themselves. I had a friend go to another university where they would only get you in trouble if the security actually SAW you doing anything. Another friend went to Reed here in Oregon. There, the security is only to help you move your kegger from the middle of the lawn when it starts clogging traffic, into a more useable area. They have a HUGE bong chained to the floor in one area so that everyone can share and no one can walk off with it. The university I went to first is more relaxed. They won't suspend you if you are seen dancing to music in your room, and you don't get in trouble if you go to a non-school sanctioned dance off campus like you would when I was there.
