Indeed, looks very sharp. Is this due to the L10 having a weaker AA filter? Do you have an E-3 by any chance? I'm curious about how significant the differences are (with the E-3 supposedly having quite a strong AA filter). More importantly, if you printed such an image would you notice the difference at normal or even close-up viewing distances?

One thing's for sure - the 50mm f/2 is a seriously sharp lens. I was at a wedding at the weekend and just used this lens on an E-400. I'm going to have to apply a Gaussian blur to some of the portrait shots otherwise the subjects will complain about the unflattering detail .

Oh - and the official photographer was using an E-3, with a Canon 5D. Had a nice chat with him and he was saying that he was solely using E-1's until recently and needed more low light performance, but couldn't give up the Olympus signature image output.

Yeah, it's the AA filter most likely.
