Default C1512

Not an exciting photo, but it is a macro of a graphics card for a PC. Actually, it shows me how close an Olympus 50mm macro lens with an EX-25 extension tube can be. Total distance across the frame was about 3/4", and I didn't crop this so you see the actual width, but the DOF is tiny tiny at this distance. Not too shabby.

Mr Pickles,
Four days and not a comment--strange. I just have to ask, with all the available number and letter combinations, how did you choose C1512 for the title. LOL. Good job with the 50 mm macro lens. I would love to play with one.
Cheers,
Colby

I am used to the lack of comments

I was gonna call it RP448 but it didn't have the right sound to it.

Mr. Pickles: You are correct, DOF with this setup is about the thickness of a razor blade. I tried playing with it on a gorgeous spider a couple of days ago. She was quite active and after 10 or 15 tries I gave it up. Front, back or middle in focus, never all at the same time. Was about to try something else when a friend dropped by with a sick computer. By the time I got back to the flower bed MS Spider had gone somewhere else.

Haven't given up though.

I apologise for my tardiness in commenting too . As someone who uses this combination I can vouch for the difficulty in getting the focus just right. Zoom in a bit more and it could be a prime contender for guess the closeup .

I, too, regularly work with this setup. You can make some pretty cool images in the garden...

I work closeup with circuit boards every day... and now you're taking photos of them!!! It's my worse nightmare come true!!! LOL

Great, clear shot. Colour's dead on, and the DOF is awesome as well.
