Default Vazquez Rocks (e-420)

Two of the shots I got today. I used the 50mm prime and the 25mm pancake (the B&W shot is with the pancake, can't remember the color one). The color one is out of the camera (other than the obvious web resize down), and the B&W one has been LightZoned(tm).

Update: comments/critique- welcome, by all means!

I will post some more later (much later :-\ )

I see the pics. The car does add something to the first one. In the B&W one, the foreground shadow tends to bug me. I thought it was a stream or river with a white sandy beach...but it isn't.

I really like your B&W shot here Raist, but the first one doesn't work too well for me... I don't like the car, and the rock on the left edge of the image is distracting - I'd probably have zoomed in (with my feet) to take the central part of the image - minus car.

Just imho - I know you're looking for constructive criticism

Kind Regards

Brian

Very nice, large rocks! Nicely captured.

No worries. I have to say I like the car (though it was indeed an accident), but I wish the car was a notch more to the left from where it is

Nice shots of the rocks depicting the capabilities of the new 420.
It brings back memories for me. When I was in the Navy stationed in Long beach I used to drive by these rocks every weekend going to my parents home in Tehachapi long before they built the freeways. Never though about stopping to photograph them though.

Glad to bring some memories and thanks for the comments. I would think though, that this shows more my photography more than what the e-420 does?

How long ago did you visit the rocks?

Not discounting your photographic abilities but your OP was about the new lenses am I not correct?
I drove past the "ROCKS" in my brand new 1954 Chevrolet.

Not really no. When I ask for critique like I did I ask about the photograph, not about the 25mm lens. But either way, thanks for the comments.

Ah man.. 1954... Was that about the time the movie "All About Eve" was shown?
