Default E-420 now supported by Silkypix

The latest release now supports the E-420's ORF files, I love this company, its nearly always the first one to support new cameras especially Olympus.

Saw that Brian Mosley posted elsewhere that Bible Pro now supports the e-420. I am waiting for LightZone to support it, only because I want to see how well it does highlight recovery when in a pinch. I expect E-3 class.

Well I've certainly seen a slight difference in increased dynamic range in the E-420 over the E-510 just in silkypix. Photographing a white dog in bright sunlight certainly test it

Oh I am sure. I did a test with Oly Studio vs the e-410. I wonder how well the channels don't clip to do a recovery. I should try downloading the demo of either that or Bible Pro.

I would like Silkypix to introduce a bit more of a DAM functionality to their software. I've always liked their RAW editing but once your image library grows it becomes a pain to use a dedicated DAM + Silkypix.

why is that Paul?

I use two DAMS (one for the input (Imatch), one for the converted images (Idimager)) + different raw convertors (including silkypix)?

I've got used to having everything in the one place Rense. I use Lightroom and it is a fine RAW editor as well as an effective DAM. If I were to use Silkypix for the RAW editing then I'd lose the integration that I get from Lightroom - e.g. automatic management of multiple copies of edited files.

ah I see, so that means you want versioning in Silkypix.
