Default Early E-3 test

While I haven't purchased my E-3 as of yet - I did get a chance to quickly test one when it was first introduced. It looked like a camera that would suit my needs well. The 12-60 lens that I tested with, so impressed me that I purchased one along with an E-510 body to take with me on my lengthy excursion to Costa Rica during February and March. It is a wonderful piece of glass with excellent close focus abilitiy. This was the post I made based on my initial try of the E-3 and 12-60mm:

Olympus E-3 - I’m In Love : Outside The Box

Probably kind of long on the tooth now since so many have purchased the E-3 over the last several months and have made their findings known.

Useful test Robert - thanks for sharing. I prefer reading users impressions like these more than the cold and clinical 'pro' test reports. It all helps to give a nice balance of what the machine is capable of (or not).

Thanks for the review. I'll definitely take it into consideration when making my decision.
