Certainly has the pedigree of the E-300 as far as form factor goes.
I guess it's only a few days before the official announcement so we'll know for sure by then. Personally, I just hope they give a nod or a wink towards the E-3/E-X. I'm not so interested in the other models. |

Well, to be truthful, I am interested in anything Olympus do, but since the E-1 release there have been two other DSLRs that have probably surpassed it in image resolution but there has been nothing new released that gives you the same functionality as the E-1 - i.e. lots of buttons and dials to make it quick to use. I don't even need anything more than what I currently have, but we should always expect to have an upgrade path regardless . |

Greetings all
I looking forward to the new 330. I love the E300 it remains me of my OM1. From what I understand the new E?? won't be ready for PMA but it will have a 10 or more MP sensor when it does come out. You'll see new cameras and lenses from Panasonic and Olympus at PMA. If Olympus would come out with a E300 pro body like the E1 with a 5mp Foveon sensor I'd be in heaven. We'll see. Enjoy life Roger J. |

![]() So are all C and N - DSLR cameras. Looks like Oly is going into new territory. I like that. I liked also the OM1 when it arrived. |

Body does look quirky (which is why I suspect it's real). It does seem slghtly odd though as Olympus seemed to deliberately replace the radical looking E-300 with the traditional styled E-500, and now they're going back to an E-300 style? Well in 3 days time we'll know exactly their strategy, at least in this segment of the market. Despite it's looks I may be tempted as I've recently been contemplating getting a small candid/street shooter. This may be the perfect choice fitted with something small like the 35mm f/3.5, and I get to use my current lenses/flashes on it too
. We shall see on the 26th... |

It looks to be fashioned after an Olympus P&S, and the Evolt E-330 curvature is way off and very sloppy for a corporation. The Olympus tag right on the flash doesn't seem right, either.

I think they would be crazy to leave the Kodak sensor world. But some say that Kodak doesn't have a handle on noise like others. I'd rather have great color and I'll work out the noise. And I think Kodak thinks the same way. They will get the noise under control. Aggressive denoising can cause other less desirable things to occur.
And who would put their name on the pop-up flash head anyway? When it is up, it will be pointing up, right? |

Yes the Kodak sensor is a top quality imaging device so long as conditions are reasonably good. In the same way as Velvia or HP-5 are fantastic when shot in reasonably good conditions. I'd rather have that, warts (noise) and all, than to have the resultant image overly processed.
Anyway, I'm betting that this is a genuine pic of the E-330. Not the big guns a lot of us are hoping for, but a typically Olympus product where they try to go in a slightly different direction to the mainstream. Only two days before we all find out . |

This is strange
![]() Also the professional Hasselblad has adopted the new 39Mpixel's KAF 39000 Kodak sensor with the same technology of 6.8micron of the KAF 5100 sensor adopted from the E-1. bye |
