Default Is this E-430 real ???

Purported shots, specs of Olympus E-430 turn up online - Engadget

-New 12MP Live MOS sensor and TruePic III processor
-CCD-shift image stabilization
-Live View
-Flip-out and up 2.5" TFT LCD monitor
-Faster USB interface ('real' USB 2.0 speed)
-All-new body shape
-Wired remote option
-Slightly higher continuous shooting frame rate and larger raw buffer

Looks slightly odd to me and normally I'd mark it down as a photoshopped spoof, but seeing it in engadget gives a slight veneer of creditability. Personally I'd love it if it were true. More and more I think the E-330 was a landmark camera that has yet to be surpassed - at least as far as true live view functionality goes. I'm still on the lookout for a really cheap E-330, but if this were real then I'd hold off for a bit.

Probably a fake, but until I see otherwise I'll keep a candle lit for it .

Why would this have 12MP and not the flagship? Faster USB than what? Wired remote "option"? Meaning a connector is on the camera? Higher continuous FPS and larger buffer than...?

It wouldn't surprise me if Olympus put something new in this style out there, but I don't know why. Is this going to be the new 4xx line? Like there would be no more "normal" looking 410 or 420? Just this odd thingie, the 500/510 series and the big boy? Because if so, why would someone want an E-510?

Looks like its been morphed from the SP570 UZ and E-510 using PS. And no IS logo which Oly like spalshing on the front of the body now.

Yeah good point about the IS logo. I did a thread on how much I disliked these types of logos on DPR and got plenty of posts about how silly I was being .

Fake. I was speaking with the service manager for Olympus in Canada yesterday, who told me that they'd been given the heads-up about the rumour earlier in the day. It's not an Olympus product.

Damn, and I was hoping Olympus had finally stopped with the logos stamped all over the body .
