Took this last week, I have been carrying around my e-410 to remember what it used to be to carry a small compact DLSR and I have to say, I am liking it a bit too much.. so much that well.. we'll see

I think I can read between the lines Raist
. Most definitely a small cam like the E-400/410 is ideal for this type of shooting. I'm a little surprised that you jumped for the E-3 so early on as you've always stated that your ideal setup is something small. That's why I still keep hold of the E-400. It's nice to have that option. Ideally I'd love something like a Leica M8, but my hobby nor my pockets extend that deep . |

A nice "street scene" like image. The E-410 is pretty small and with a simple lens, it is a great little carry around-er, and more.
The E-510 is a tick bigger and has IS. Maybe they could put IS in the E-410 with an E-3 like sensor? Probably kill the E-510 or E-520 sales though. Maybe the E-520 could get a flip-out screen? Probably kill some E-3 sales then. |

I think what they could do is - if they can- add IS to the e-410 (I am not counting on that, I think it would be extremely challenging), add the e-330's articulated live view to the e-510 and the E-3 can still get the hyper fast 12 (11?) point AF, maybe up the FPS to 6 or 7, it will still have better IS, keep the bigger buffer, etc.
