Default Trading my L1 in for E3

Next week i will be going to Kuala Lumpur and upgrading Panasonic L1 & Leica D 14-50 for Olympus E3 & Zuiko 12-60mm, 1:2.8-4.0 SWD.
I ilked the colours from L1 but E3 looks to be a much better option for my needs.

I was looking hard at Leica's M8, but manual focusing was not to my liking, bad eye's (troulbe with getting older i guess)

The E-3 is a nice one, so hope the switch works out for you. I'd suggest a good camera manual reading too.

If manual isn't your thing, are you going to unload some of your signatures lens list too?

I think you will love the e3. I have it with both of the SWD lenses. The manual is a good read, but it it's small print. I downloaded the PDF from the OLY web site and printed it in letter size. That did the trick for me insofar as making the manual easy to read and make notes on the side.

Just talked to shop I deal with in KL, they now say no trade in for the L1.

So will only sell E3 & Zuiko 12-60mm for RM7999 (US$2470)

So looks like I'm going to have 3 camera's or may be ill try ebay.

I think the E-3 will make a very nice upgrade from the L1. Shame you couldn't trade it in, but you'll likely get a better price on ebay than from a dealer - particularly as you're including the Leica 14-50mm. L1 body-only deals seem to have dropped quite a bit in this neck of the woods.

Yes, if you have the 14-50 2.8 lens it will be worth a premium on eBay. Good luck.

I tried to trade my L1 in for E3 last week with no luck.
Tried E3 big smile
But could not get a price out of the shops staff as owner was away (trust me to go to the shop on the way to Airport) ran out of time had to leave with out E3.
Just as I arrived at Airport the owner called (price US$1755) why this always happens to me.

I be back in KL next month for GP F1 maybe the price will have dropped by then.
